A memorial service has been scheduled for Mr. Henry Duvall 1:00 Saturday May 22.

We are beginning a four-session course for First Communion for our youth.

Our LMM is constructing a ramp for use at the Carlson residence on Wednesday, the 19th.

Beginning this month, we are moving more and more toward normalcy in worship. We are moving closer and closer to using the full liturgy. We will use more and more people during worship as soon as the video/sound system is installed so that the entire chancel area can be viewed. Today Holy Communion will be administered in a somewhat familiar way. Instructions will be given prior to Holy Communion. We continue to reach out to our members who are not able to be here and to those others who wish to participate in the life and ministry of our congregation either inside our community or in far-away places. We welcome everyone though, here and through Facebook.

On Monday, May 24 at 6:30 pm our Lutheran Men in Mission is sponsoring an evening of dinner and live entertainment at our Fellowship Hall. Invite friends and plan to join us for a delicious supper, entertainment, and fellowship. Dupre’s Catering will provide stuffed chicken and roast beef, salad and sides. The cost is $15.00 per person and you can purchase your e-tickets using the “Give” button at St. John’s web site https://stjohnsirmo.org/. Tickets must be purchased by May 20.

Even though it’s getting warmer, there are many who still need assistance with food and clothing. Please respond with nonperishable food items and/or gently used clothing. All of your donations will be distributed through Sharing God’s Love.
