Announcements for Sunday, October 2

Today’s flowers are dedicated to the Glory of God and in appreciation of the Lutheran Men in Mission, who provided such an enjoyable and delicious Ladies’ Night last week. Many thanks from Ann Carlson and all who attended.

A recycle event sponsored by Keep America Beautiful for Richland and Lexington Counties will be held on Saturday October 15 at Irmo High School.

Accepted materials include:
Cooking Oil
Paper for shredding (limit 5 copy boxes)
Tires (limit 8)
Electronics (limit 8)
Scrap Metal

A BBQ for Sharing God’s Love will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at the Irmo office of Coldwell Banker located at 7474 Woodrow Street in Irmo from 11:30am to 1:30pm. There will be pulled pork barbecue plates that can be purchased to eat on site or as a drive-thru. Pre-ordered whole pork buts are available also.

A few months ago, Council approved the use of up to two of our rooms in the Education building for storage of the shoes which Sole Stepping donates to school children. A week ago the first of the shoes to be donated were to be brought here for storage.
