Welcome to St. John’s Lutheran Church!

The Congregation Councils of St. John’s and Pomaria Lutheran held a joint meeting on January 12th to begin to discuss the formation of a two-point parish. The group began work on a draft of terms of an agreement between the congregation to form a parish and share a pastor. Vicar Natalie Cook, who is serving Pomaria as an interim, is the sole candidate for the call. Once the two councils have signed off on the agreement the document will be taken to each congregation for a vote.

Even if yours hasn’t changed, please provide this information so that we can ensure that our records are correct. Thank you to those who have provided their contact information.

Members of the Altar Guild will meet at the church on Monday, January 23 at 6:30 to welcome new participants and review the tasks associated with preparing the altar for worship each Sunday. If you’re interested to see what the job entails, please join us! No commitment is required, and you may get to enjoy a sweet treat. Contact Jan Samson if you have any questions.

Bible Study will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 10:30am in the Education Building.
