Announcements for 6/20

Altar Flowers are given to the glory of God and in honor of all the fathers on Father’s Day.

St. John’s will celebrate its Homecoming on July 4, just two weeks away. This will be a very special day. We have a number of dedications that we will make including the new tempered glass window coverings, new landscaping, and a new video/sound system. Lunch with all the fixin’s will be furnished by Coleen and Homer Thompson. We will also recognize the graduates at this time.

Planning has begun for this year’s Vacation Bible School. It will be held the week of July 26, beginning at 6:30 each evening. Helpers are needed to be leaders or assistants for activity centers, including snacks and games, crafts, story time, and music. Please contact Jan Samson if you are able to help with VBS this year.

The youth are planning a fishing trip on Sunday, June 27th. Please contact Josh Eleazer if you are interested in having a fun afternoon.

We continue to reach out to our members who are not able to be here and to those others who wish to participate in the life and ministry of our congregation either inside our community or in far-away places. We welcome everyone here and through Facebook.

Even though it’s getting warmer, there are many who still need assistance with food and clothing. Please respond with nonperishable food items and/or gently used clothing. All of your donations will be distributed through Sharing God’s Love.

Devotional Booklets are in the Narthex and in the SS/Office Building. Pick yours up today!

Synod Assembly is next Saturday via Zoom. Pray for your delegates Jan Samson and Don Alcorn.
