Announcements September 10

The flowers today are dedicated in memory of Patty Eleazer by Lynn Martin.

 

The Parish Call Committee is pleased to share that we have a Primary Candidate for the position of Parish Pastor. We will be meeting with the candidate in September, after she returns from vacation. After both Councils have met and approved the Candidate, we will have Meet and Greets at each congregation to give everyone an opportunity to meet the Candidate before we vote on a call.

 

St John’s Lutheran Men in Mission meeting is coming up on Monday Sept 11^th at 6pm.  Al Chapman will be providing a delicious meal and Charles Eleazer is providing the speaker, most likely regarding some of the SCDOT activity in the area.  We will also discuss the upcoming fish fry in October and schedule the next LMIM meeting.

 

Please join us for the WELCA Heartland Conference Fall meeting at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church 816 Mt. Tabor Rd. Little Mountain, SC 29075 today at 3:00 p.m.  Guest Speaker will be Pastor Bobby Morris, Old Testament Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary Professor,  who will provide the program, entitled The Fifth Gospel.  Make plans to attend this afternoon of Christian fellowship and worship.
