The flowers are given in memory of my sister, Lois Kenick, a caring and dedicated teacher whose work and life glorified God by Ann Carlson.

Today, immediately following worship Council will host a Meet & Greet for the congregation to meet our candidate for Pastor of the Pomaria and St. John’s Parish. Immediately following the Meet & Greet we will hold a congregation meeting to discuss the candidate and vote on whether to issue a call. Please make every effort to attend both. Pomaria will also be holding a Meet & Greet and vote on a call earlier that day.

Lunch for the Grieving will be held at noon in the Pomaria Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on the second Wednesdays of each month through the end of this year: November 8, and December 13.  Anyone may attend whether the loss is recent or in the distant past.  If you have experienced a loss and have learned to live a “new normal,” your experience can help newly grieved persons.

Pastor Mark’s final day at the St. John’s/Pomaria parish will be Sunday, October 29^th.  He has been asked by Bishop Aebischer to share an appointment with Pastor Jorge Leone to lead the two Spanish language missions in the midlands, Sagrada Familia and Cristo Rey. This strategy is independent of the parish’s call process and will go forward regardless of the results of the call vote on October 15^th.
