Announcements for November 5

The flowers on the altar today are dedicated in memory of Johnny and Betty Sites, and in memory of Blair and Mary Lindler by Glenn and Kathy Lindler.

Please welcome Pastor Ron Brown who will be filling in today and next Sunday.

 

Lunch for the Grieving will be held at noon in the Pomaria Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on the second Wednesdays of each month through the end of this year: November 8, and December 13. Anyone may attend whether the loss is recent or in the distant past.  If you have experienced a loss and have learned to live a “new normal,” your experience can help newly grieved persons.

Adopt a Highway will take place on November 18^th at 9:00am. Please meet in the fellowship hall.

 

Office hours for the month of November will be Monday-Wednesday 10am-2pm.

 

On November 12, immediately following worship, we will hold the annual meeting to get congregation input to our 2024 budget. The proposed budget will be sent out via email prior to the meeting.  The November Council meeting will be held after the input meeting.

Our Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 19 at 6:00pm at Shady Grove UMC. Join us for this annual tradition of a worship service followed by food and fellowship.

Our new minister, Pastor Michele Fischer, will join us on November 26. Let’s give her a warm St. John’s welcome on that Sunday.
