Announcements November 12

To the glory of God and in appreciation of Jan Samson and Judy Hrinda for their many years of selfless work and support of St. John’s Church by Steve Kesler.

 

Congregation Budget Input Meeting will be held immediately following worship today. This is your opportunity to review the proposed 2024 budget and provide comments or recommendations to the Council. November’s Church Council Meeting will follow the Input Meeting.

 

Lunch for the Grieving will be held at noon in the Pomaria Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on the second Wednesdays of each month through the end of this year: November 8, and December 13. Anyone may attend whether the loss is recent or in the distant past.  If you have experienced a loss and have learned to live a “new normal,” your experience can help newly grieved persons.

Adopt a Highway will take place on November 18^th at 9:00am. Please meet in the fellowship hall.

 

Office hours for the month of November will be Monday-Wednesday 10am-2pm.

 

Our Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 19 at 6:00pm at Shady Grove UMC. Join us for this annual tradition of a worship service followed by food and fellowship. Their choir invites anyone who would like to sing at the service to join them at 6:00 pm Wednesday for practice.

Our new minister, Pastor Michele Fischer, will join us on November 26. Let’s give her a warm St. John’s welcome on that Sunday.
