Altar Flowers
Today the altar flowers are given by Jimmy and LaRue Snyder to the glory of God and in honor of the August birthdays of Nicholas, Carlos, and Jimmy.

Council Meeting
Council will meet after the worship service today.

History Committee Meeting
The history committee will meet at noon on Wednesday, August 14th.

Heartland Conference LMM Youth Night
Thursday, August 15 at 7 pm at Macedonia Lutheran Church
Speaker: Mr. Eddie Seigler – Former NFL Player with Chicago Bears
Meal: Hamburgers & Hot Dogs with all the fixings, slaw, chips, tea, water, and dessert
Cost: $10.00 per person

Faith Formation Pizza Party
School has started and as such our Faith Formation programs need to start up again. Making sure our children have a solid foundation in our Lutheran tradition and our biblical understanding is important. So, what is the best way to proceed this fall?
We’ll have a piazza party/planning meeting on Sunday, August 18th for all those interested in the faith formation of our young people including: Confirmation, Mini-VBS, Children’s Church, forming a Youth Group and an Introduction to Bible Class.

Break Fast
A review of the ELCA social statement on Human Sexuality continues on Sunday mornings in the fellowship hall. Breakfast is served prior to the discussion. Dr. Russell Kleckley, our discussion leader, will be away on August 11th, but we will have an informal discussion and then present our questions to Dr. Kleckley to address when he returns on August 18th.
