Worship

Worshippers arriving for the service are greeted by ushers and other members of the congregation. We use a worship folder which includes the complete service, including hymns. Worship at St. John’s is based on traditional Lutheran liturgy, using different settings based on the season of the church year. Visitors are always welcome at our worship celebrations and people are welcome to "come as they are."

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday. All who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior are welcome to commune. Children may also come forward to receive a blessing.

Learning to help others is incorporated into our worship service. Once a month our younger members gather a Noisy Offering (coins in metal cans) from the congregation to benefit charitable organizations or individuals in the community who need financial assistance.
