Announcements for July 24

In lieu of flowers, today’s special donation is made to the Robert Donald Alcorn Scholarship Fund at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. The donation is made to the glory of God and in honor of Don Alcorn’s dedication to St. John’s, by Nancy and Tim Bradshaw.

There are posters of historical pictures which will remain displayed in the Fellowship Hall for the coming weeks. Some of the pictures are recently re-discovered old pictures. If anyone recognizes people in the pictures, there is space to note names.

Vacation Bible School is this week, July 25-28, 6:30-8:00 pm. All children are welcome to attend and bring friends! If you think you’re too old to be a student, we always can use helpers. Please notify the church office if you intend to attend.

Our VBS mission this year will benefit Sole Stepping. Students may donate new pairs of sneakers in elementary children’s sizes. Financial donations will be given to Sole Stepping for the purchase of additional shoes. The sizes especially needed by Sole Stepping are Sizes 1 through 3, including half sizes. Wide shoes are also needed.
