Announcements for September 18

Today’s Noisy Offering will benefit Prison Ministry.

Lutheran Men in Mission invite the congregation to attend the Ladies’ Banquet tomorrow, September 19 at 6:30. The cost is $15 for men, no charge for women or children 17 and under. You may pay in advance using Tithely on the St. John’s web site.

One of the steps we are taking as part of the transition to a new pastor is to review and document the history of St. John’s. On September 25 immediately following worship, the congregation is invited to our History Day luncheon.

The last history of the church was written for the 75th anniversary in 1989. We would like to use the collective memory of the congregation to document everything that has happened since 1989.

Please work to remember people, groups, activities or anything else we might want to include in our church history, and bring your thoughts to the History Day luncheon on September 25. If you have memories but won’t be able to attend on the 25th, send them to the church office email.

Pictures, especially older ones, are also welcome and may or may not be included in the history.
