Announcements for August 6

The History Team is requesting pictures of St. John’s over the years to add to our upcoming “Story of St. John’s.” The booklet will be prepared for our 110^th anniversary in 2024. Please contact Judy Truax with any pictures.

 

This Sunday, August 6, we will be joining Pomaria Lutheran Church in a joint service at Pomaria. The service begins at 9 am and there will be a meet and greet with light refreshments following the service. There will be no broadcast service available on that day.

 

Church Council will hold its July/August meeting on August 6 at 11 am, following the service and meet and greet at Pomaria.

 

St. John’s will host a joint service the following Sunday, August 13^th. We will invite Pomaria members to join us for Break Fast at 9:30am followed by worship w/Backpack Blessing at 11:00am

 

On August 12^th starting at 2:45, Bishop Ginny Aebischer will preach and preside in a bilingual service as we celebrate as a synod with the community of Cristo Rey this milestone in their ministry. Each congregation of the synod is invited to bring or send a cross that will be placed on the wall as a testimony to the faithful partnership of the whole synod. Parking and shuttles are available at St. David’s Lutheran Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. Please RSVP to lacleart@yahoo.com.ar if you plan to attend.
