Announcements March 10

Welcome to St. John’s Lutheran Church!

 

Those wishing to formalize their relationship with St. John’s and become members of the congregation are invited to join Pastor Michele after church on March 17th following worship. Please RSVP to the office by March 8th. New members will be welcomed into the church on April 7th. If you cannot attend on March 17th but still want to become a member, please speak with Pastor Michele.

 

Lenten services will be rotating between churches beginning February 21. A meal will be served at 6:00pm with worship following at 7:00pm.

The schedule is as follows:

3/13 In Community with Those on the Margins hosted by St John’s with Pastor Frank W. Anderson We will need soups, sandwiches,  salads and desserts for that night.  I do not have a good number yet, but in the past, we had about 100 people.  Please sign up in the fellowship hall. 

3/20 In Community with Christ hosted by Bethel, White Rock with Pastor James Henricks

 

The Quilting Group at Pomaria could use some additional help. No sewing experience is needed. We need people to cut fabric, tie the quilts, and even design patterns for the quilts. The group meets on Thursday from 1 pm to 2  pm in the fellowship hall basement at Pomaria, but cutting and designing can be done remotely.  Please contact Rita Boozer.

 

Mini- VBS is happening again on March 21st when the Lex-Rich 5 elementary schools and intermediate school have early release.  Our theme for the day will be The Last Supper.  Children under 4 are invited to attend with a parent or grandparent.  Lunch will be provided and the children will be making cookies and blankets for the Linus Project as well as having ample outdoor time.  Drop off begins at 11:45 and pick up is by 4:30 pm.  Please let the office know if your children will be attending.
