Announcements June 9

The altar flowers are given by Ann Carlson in honor of June wedding anniversaries, present and past.

During worship on June 16, the new Verdin Supreme Touch Digital Carillon System will be dedicated in memory of the Rev. Clarence and Mrs. Floy Richardson.

Noisy Offering will be collected on June 16 and will benefit some Rock Hill, SC residents who suffered major losses in April, when a thunderstorm turned into a disaster with winds up to 70 miles per hour and hail ranging from quarter to grapefruit size.

Homecoming will be celebrated on June 30th. Pomaria Lutheran Church will be our guest on this 5th Sunday of the month. Coleen and Homer Thompson will provide lunch, including desserts! Worship service will be held at 10:00 A.M.

Children’s Church has been suspended for the summer. There will be activity pages provided by Pastor Michele for the children each week.

The youth of St. John’s need your cans: aluminum, steel or tin! We will take them and recycle them for cash for the St. John’s Youth. Please remove ALL paper labels from your items before recycling, and dump cans out of plastic bags.

A big “thank you” to those who helped with the youth spaghetti fundraising dinner and Vacation Bible School last week. We had 16 children attend one or more evenings, plus 10 leaders for all of our activities. A large basket of non-perishable food was gathered for Sharing God’s Love.
