ALTAR FLOWERS
Today the altar flowers are given to the Glory of God by Don Alcorn.

NOISY OFFERING
The noisy offering collected today will be donated to the Hope Rosenwald School in Pomaria, SC, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

CONFIRMATION CLASS
Confirmation class meets today from 12:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. The Ten Commandments is the topic for this class.

SERMONS AND DEVOTIONS
The sermons are once again being posted on the website stjohnsirmo.org. You will also find the weekly devotions posted with the sermons.

WORSHIP SERVICES AND SERMONS ARE ON YOUTUBE
All worship services and sermons can be found on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@OfficeAdministrator-v7y. Generally, they are uploaded on Mondays. In addition, there is a sermon only video for each week.

YOUTH GROUP
Our next Youth Group event is scheduled for February 1st. We will gather at the church at 12:30 P.M. and proceed to Flight Adventure Park, a trampoline park in Irmo, SC. For more information visit https://flightadventurepark.com/. All youth must have signed waivers before we can leave the church.
Please RSVP by Friday, January 30th, so that reservations may be made for the trip.
 
ALTAR FLOWER CHART
The altar flower chart for 2026 is posted in the narthex. Please select the dates when you would like to take advantage of this opportunity to serve and to dedicate altar flowers in honor of or in memory of someone. We typically do not decorate the altar with flowers during Lent and Advent, which leaves 42 Sundays plus Christmas Eve as potential dates to serve in this capacity.

COUNCIL MEETING
Council will meet tomorrow evening at 6:00 P.M. to continue working on a new cemetery policy.

LMM FAMILY NIGHT
Mark your calendars for Monday, January 26, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. when St. John’s Lutheran Men in Mission (LMM) will host a family night. A dinner consisting of catfish stew and chicken, too, will be served. Sheriff Leon Lott and Deputy Chris Lindler with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department will be back by popular demand.

Reading The Bible: Lutheran Perspective
Join Pastors Art Hallman and Bobby Morris to explore how Christians have read the Bible over the centuries and Lutheranism’s contribution to the endeavor. We will also explore the implications of different reading approaches for contemporary issues including human sexuality and Christian nationalism.
