CONFIRMATION CLASS MEETS TODAY
Confirmation class will meet today from 12:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Youth are strongly encouraged to attend worship at 11 A.M. and to bring a bag lunch and water bottle. The topic of discussion is the Apostles’ Creed.

NOISY OFFERING
The noisy offering collected today will be donated to Restoration Chapel, a ministry of the SC Synod. Recent repairs, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical work, were needed to Kinard Manor, the house where women in recovery stay in Greenwood, SC.

RESTORATION CHAPEL/KINARD MANOR FUNDRAISER
Restoration Chapel/Kinard Manor is a ministry that provides housing for up to ten women who are on a journey of recovery from substance abuse. Pastors Ard Hallman and Bobby Morris are hosting a BBQ hash fundraiser. The order deadline is tomorrow. To reserve your order, please contact Pastor Bobby at 803-271-2777 or Pastor Ard at 803-924-9011.

The cost is $12.00 per quart. To secure your order, please mail a check payable to “Restoration Chapel” to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

You may pick up your order on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 4:00 – 5:30 P.M. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pomaria.

HEARTLAND LUTHERAN MEN IN MISSION QUARTERLY MEETING
The Heartland Lutheran Men in Mission’s quarterly meeting will be held at Pomaria Lutheran Church at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 28, 2026. The meal will be catered by Wise’s Bar-B-Q House. The menu will consist of country fried steak, green beans, rice and gravy, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, banana pudding, and tea. The cost of the meal is $16 per person.

STORYTIME AT POMARIA
Pomaria Lutheran Church is collecting new or gently used children’s books for ages 0–5 to support a new community program in Pomaria. Storytime at Pomaria will begin in June, offering two weekly story time sessions for children from birth through Pre-K. As part of this program, each child will be allowed to choose a book to take home and keep.

Donations of non-religious books, free of controversial subjects will be accepted between now and May 13. The goal of this program is to introduce young children to the joy and wonder of reading while helping prepare them for the transition to school.

Thank you for helping nurture a love of reading in Pomaria’s youngest learners! Collection boxes are available on the stage in the fellowship hall and in the narthex of the church.

LMM FISH FRY

It’s time for St. John’s Lutheran Men in Mission (LMM)’s semi-annual fish fry to be held in the Fellowship Hall.
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
Time: Take-out service begins at 5:30 P.M.
Seated dinner begins at 6:00 P.M.
Cost: $10.00 for adults
“ $5.00 for kids age 10 and under
Menu: Catfish stew, fried fish, and grits
Special Guests: Sheriff Leon Lott, deputies, and dogs!

The women of St. John’s are asked to provide desserts.
